Privacy policy
Last revised: 12 March 2026
01Who we are
Maison d'Or SARL, 18 Rue Dar el Bacha, Medina, Marrakech 40000, Morocco, is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and through our advisory work. Written questions about this policy may be sent to privacy@maisondor.ma.
02What we collect
Information you give us: name, email address, telephone number, budget range, timeline and the content of your message when you submit an enquiry, request a viewing, book a valuation or subscribe to our journal. Information collected automatically: page views, referring page, approximate region derived from IP address, and device type. Information stored on your own device: your saved properties, recently viewed houses, language choice and light or dark preference are held in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted to us.
03Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry and arrange viewings; to prepare valuations, offers and restoration estimates; to meet our legal obligations on anti-money-laundering identity checks required before a notarised sale; and, where you have opted in, to send occasional editorial notes about the market. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers.
04Legal basis
We rely on your consent for marketing communications, on the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request for enquiry handling, on legal obligation for identity and source-of-funds checks, and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the website. This policy is written to satisfy Moroccan law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation where it applies to you.
06How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a transaction are deleted after three years of inactivity. Transaction files are kept for ten years, as required for notarial and tax purposes. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as you remain subscribed, plus three years. Analytics data is aggregated after twenty-six months.
07Your rights
You may request access to your data, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion where we have no overriding obligation to retain it, restriction or objection to processing, and a portable copy in a common format. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time using the link in any message. Write to privacy@maisondor.ma; we respond within thirty days. You may also complain to the CNDP in Morocco or to your local supervisory authority in the EU.
09Security
Data is transmitted over TLS and held on access-controlled systems. Client files containing identity documents are stored encrypted and are visible only to the partner and coordinator assigned to your matter. We will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay if a breach is likely to affect your rights.
10Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. The revision date below always reflects the current version, and material changes are notified by email to subscribers.
